When you try something new for the first time, do you expect to get it perfect? It's a robust system for growth. Sexuality does not happen in a vacuum and is not solely the result of biological processes. It can be, and is, impacted by many things. That would be expecting mastery.

Your experience is your responsibility. You are not owed anything, not in life and not in sex. Sex can have serious consequences, so if she's too shy to voice her opinions, wants, needs, and boundaries, she shouldn't be having sex.
